I was playing around a little with Through The Viewfinder photography tonight. Though it's a little blurry, here's my first attempt using my digital camera looking through the polaroid camera's lense.

Beach Day

It was unseasonably warm, so Magnolia and I packed up our stuff and headed for the beach. I realized, only after I arrived at an overly-crowded beach, that it was April vacation so we went to our little back up beach to watch the surfers in North Hampton.

We went for a walk down to the Lamprey to see Dad and Gappy fishing. The light was so nice we while we were down there.

Polaroids

Gappy let me borrow his polaroid camera, and though it isn't the type that will allow me to do the manipulation I want, it has been fun to play around with. Here is a picture from this morning at Crackskulls after coffee and a muffin.

So yeah...it's been that kind of a morning already.

Yup, powder. But at least it smells good.

The Lamprey

It's that time of year again...where we start checking the Newmarket boat launch for ice out. That's where Magnolia and I headed this morning. Our apartment is much closer now, only just a short walk down the road. Most of the water was open, and only the coves held ice. I think in a day or so even that will be open. Until then, we had a good time throwing rocks in the water.

Small update

Well, we still don't have a reliable internet connection. Matter of fact I'm sitting in my car outside the (closed) Newmarket Public Library pirating their wireless signal to post these few pictures. We finally made the move to our new 2 bedroom apartment last weekend, and though I'm not going to go into too many details about the place, I will say we love it. Magnolia sat at the kitchen table and watched birds hopping around the back yard the other day for almost 20 minutes. I thought...Yeah, I guess she's never really been able to do that before. The most she's ever seen out of her home window was a cement patio and cars going by. I can't wait until all the snow melts and we can enjoy the back yard. As soon as all the boxes are put away and things are in order I'll post pics of the new place, but until the, here are some recent pictures of Magnolia.

We don't have a washer or dryer yet, so we made a trip to the laundry mat yesterday.

She insisted on wearing my socks the other day. She must have known they were from Poppa.
