Bubbas on the Bay Part 2
We brought sandwiches and picnicked on the beach with Les today at a house he was painting in New Castle.
Their back lawn actually feeds into a private beach overlooking the harbor. Magnolia was captivated by the water and all the muscle shells that lined the beach.

All in all, a wonderful was to spend a few hours on one of the few beautiful days we've had this year.

Bubbas by the Bay
In celebration of the temporary respite from the rain, Magnolia and I went to search for horseshoe crabs at Adam's Point. I had heard rumor of their annual mating ritual taking place there last weekend, and went to see if we could catch a glimpse.
When we got there, the shores were bare. We decided instead to take a walk in along the shoreline and back through the woods.
We rounded a little cove and discovered a few pink lady slippers in bloom, which is the official state wildflower of New Hampshire.
We paused for a brief moment to take in the beautiful scenery, and then went on in search of more trails. Adam's Point has some wonderful rural countryside, that reminded me a bit of being back in the Midwest. Well...almost.

We (and by "we" I mean Magnolia) ended our trip by enjoying a tasty bubba and a view of the water. If only all meals could be this relaxing.

We had some nice light in the late afternoon, so I tried to get some shots in.

I'm happy when mom and dad take me out on the town.
And I'm especially happy when I get back home and can play with my toys.
