Under the boardwalk

With this possibly being our last autumn in the area I've felt a bit panicked to do all the sightseeing things I'd always intended when we moved. Which it why yesterday Magnolia and I took a walk at the Sandy Point Discovery Center which is a boardwalk winding through a section of the Great Bay Estuary. Magnolia was having a wonderful time until she threw her binkie irretrievably over the side of the boardwalk pretty much where the lower picture was taken. After that things got a little shaky, and we had to head back early. Things were relatively uneventful until.... ...We spotted a wild turkey in the forrest!!!! I slowly slid out my camera to get a shot, and was whispering to Magnolia what it was. After couting my good luck, we started walking away and the bird didn't budge, didn't even blink. Yeah, I felt like an idiot when I crept up on it only to find it was stuffed and nailed to a stump. Hope they had a hidden camera, that was entertainment worth watching.

Bubbles!!!

As I was editing this picture, for the first time with recognition, Magnolia looked up at the screen and said, "Da Da!" and made kissing noises!!

Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows

The princess is starting to become more mobile these days. Crawling is old hat, and she'll be standing by herself any day now. Also, her dad is teaching her how to play the kazoo, and she doesn't really understand why all objects don't make that noise; I found her the other day trying to blow into the phone.
Her little personality is starting to show even more as she gets older. Everyone comments on how happy of a baby, which is true, and most of the time she's what the title of this post describes, but there are also days she's a mobile ball of inconsolable screaming. Luckily those days don't come around very often.
Here are a few pics from our normal, mostly everyday routine.

She's become the cheerio champ, so much so, that I need to ask the doctor if there's such a thing as "too many cheerios."

She is an absolute social butterfly. We went to my company picnic last week, and she was the center of the party.

There's nothing like dad when it comes to play time. He can get her to laughing like no one else. She's like her mom in that way, I guess.
