Happy Easter!

Here are few pictures from Easter morning. After an insanely busy few weeks, this Easter was just what the family needed. We went to church, came home, skipped lunch and went right down for a nap...all three of us, and didn't get up until 4:30. Then I made pizza for dinner and Magnolia and I cuddled down to watch a movie. Pretty uneventful, but perfect none the less.

We'll pretend anyway

I'm so ready for spring that I've convinced myself that any sunny day that comes my way should be taken advantage of. Though it was still pretty chilly, Magnolia and I walked down to Crackskulls to see "Michelle and a muffin." Sometimes the muffin takes priority. :) It had warmed up by the time we left so we detoured across the bridge and spent some time down in the little park area by the mills. There are more non-Magnolia pictures of the morning up on our flickr site.

She's offereing her mom one of the many sticks she picked up and piled.

Never thought we'd hit this milestone so early.

Les and Gappy had a St Patrick's Day gig at the Coat of Arms last night, and with it being spring break and all, finding a sitter was impossible. So I toted Magnolia along for her first bar experience. Don't get all in a tizzy, they've banned smoking inside public buildings here in New Hampshire, and we cut her off after one beer. (What? No Budweiser for me?!) I thought for sure that I'd end up getting about ten minutes before she'd either want to get up on stage with her dad or terrorize the place, but to my suprise and delight, three hours later we were still having a good time. She was a wonderful girl, and the talk of the bar. It was pretty cute to see these men, usually so full of machismo, go out of their way to be playful and doting. Anyway, here are few pickies from the momentous event.

Too cool!

We had a rough day yesterday. Magnolia was throwing up all morning, followed by a 103 temperature off and on for the rest of the day. It broke sometime during the night, and today she's fine. I don't know if it was a 24 hour bug, or the very last hurdle of the sickness she had a week or so ago. All I know is that her cough is gone, and she's back to her old cool self.

A sunny afternoon at home

Well, despite the fact that Miss Pie stayed up late last night listening to Dad and Gappy play and sing, she still didn't want to go down for a nap. We tried for about 2 hours and then gave up. Oh well, what are you gonna do? So we came out in the living room and Magnolia proceeded to fling herself about on the couch. The light through the sliding glass door was nice, so I tried to shoot some photos. The sun is deceiving....it looks like it should be nice outside, but in fact it's still quite cold. For those of you who don't know, Les and I will be moving into a two bedroom apartment at the end of the month. It has a little back yard and a porch, and I can't wait to be able to open the windows or sit outside in the sun. Come quickly spring!

Sleeping Baby

I think it's about time to start transitioning into a Big Girl Bed. Magnolia can officially climb out of her bed, and has now started going back and forth between her crib and our bed at night. Last night she finally crashed in our bed. Les said that it must have taken so much work to get three bears, a sippy, a binky, and a blanket from her bed to ours, that we should leave her. So that's what we did.

Movies with Friends

Aaron and Emily came over for dinner tonight, and the girls crashed on the bed and watched a movie after dinner.

Sicky

We're all a little sick here still, but it looks like we're on the road to recovery. Magnolia and I spent some time reading in bed this morning.
